Two audition prep opportunities for high school students targeting fall PMEA District ensembles.

MASTERCLASS:
CVSM faculty will provide students with strategies and other helpful tips as they prepare for their auditions. At least one student volunteer per instrument will perform the audition piece and receive real-time feedback and techniques from the faculty. All students in attendance will listen and learn from the experience of the volunteer.

MOCK AUDITIONS: (Band/Orchestra only)

Make new friends by sharing a common joy—playing music! Meet fellow musicians who play for fun, for church, or just for enjoyment, and join us for a rewarding short series of rehearsals leading up to our community concert. The program generally consists of grade-level 3 arrangements, with at least one original work for strings (players may request rewritten parts if uncomfortable with higher positions or if parts are too difficult).
