CUMBERLAND VALLEY SCHOOL OF MUSIC OPENS STUDIO IN DOWNTOWN WAYNESBORO
Cumberland Valley School of Music (CVSM) recently opened a new studio located on 32 West Main Street, Waynesboro, PA. Lessons and classes are available for students of all ages, with more to be added based on interest and demand. CVSM will also continue to teach some lessons at St. Andrew School in Waynesboro, as it has done for several years. While CVSM has been offering lessons at churches in Waynesboro in the past, this marks their first presence in their own dedicated studio in the downtown area, near the square.
CVSM is currently scheduling students for five teachers at the new studio: David Shearer (piano and voice), Marsha Stine (piano), Carl Sponenberg (flute, clarinet, and saxophone), Jacob Wolfe (guitar and trumpet), and Julie Emig (violin and Suzuki piano). In addition, there will be a Thursday evening Guitar Class, which is geared towards beginning level players. All CVSM faculty members are experienced, trained, and credentialed educators and professionals.
Cumberland Valley School of Music is a non-profit member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education, with 53 faculty members teaching more than 600 students at locations in Chambersburg, Mercersburg, Waynesboro, and Hagerstown. Scholarship assistance is available for students with financial need. More information on fall semester lessons, classes and wide range of programs for students of all ages (from preschool aged children to senior citizens) is available online at www.cvsmusic.org or call 717-261-1220 to register.
